La Almudaina Palace
Cultural Mallorca
The “Alcázar Real” in Majorca. Its name means citadel outside the city walls.  La Almudaina Palace was seat of the independent kingdom of Majorca during the reigns of Jaime I, Sancho I and Jaime II, until it became part of the kingdom of Aragón under Pedro IV.

The castle visible today is the result of modifications to the Moorish fortress constructed from 1281(
13th century. The building comprises a rectangular tower, home to the King’s Palace, Queen’s Palace, a hall known as Tinell, the Royal Chapel and patios. Inside, special mention should be made of a range of tapestries and furniture from different periods of history. It is currently used by His Majesty the King of Spain as a residence for official summer ceremonies.

Had some trouble finding a video on this amazing palace.  The one I have found includes the Cathedral but also gives you an idea of what the Palace is like from the outside.  I have not found any showing the inside of the Palace, perhaps you need to take a closer look when you get there, enjoy!
