Golf de Andratx is an 18-hole course offering unbeatable views of the Mallorcan coastline. In terms of difficulty it is a very challenging course, most suitable for more experienced players, and recognised for its originality, with several extremely raised tees. There are five blind shots which run over a very uneven terrain and large holes protected by lakes along with the natural flora and fauna of Mallorca.
Designer and architect of the course, David Kidd, has managed to optimise the playing terrain of this unique course, built between steep valleys of the Tramuntana Mountains which offer their protection along with the classic pinewoods and the stark scenery of a Mediterranean archipelago. Unfortunately player and ball do not always finish this course together due to the seven ponds and lakes divided between six holes. Filled with white quartz sand, the sixty bunkers may bring some fond childhood memories to the fore when playing this course. Some ancient and others restored Mallorca walls add to natural beauty of the environment.
There are three different tones of green used on the course so that there can be no excuses about being unable to make out where the fairway, or the rough are. This 18-hole course is irrigated with recycled water and collected rainwater and the Club has its own distillation plant, confirming their commitment with regard to protecting the environment.
