Mallorca Golf

Who else wants to make €100.000 per year – working from home?

If you are a golf fan then bring your clubs, because you are in for a wonderful time here on Mallorca. There are some of the finest golf courses in Europe on this amazing island, varying in difficulty and length.  As you can imagine it is very popular with golfers from all around Europe and especially the UK.

It doesn't matter where you stay on the island there will be a golf course somewhere nearby and for the more experienced golfers there are competitions most weekends at the various courses around the island.

With more than 100,000 golfers visiting Mallorca every year it is nice to be able to say that providing excellent golf courses are something that Mallorca has concentrated on over the years. The first golf course was built in Alcudia in 1934, which unfortunately did not last due to the Spanish civil war but in 1964 Son Vida golf course opened and this is when golfing became a serious tourist attraction in Mallorca.

Every year there are world class  matches including the "Mallorca Classic" at Pula Golf, which counts towards the "PGA" circuit and offers prizes totalling over €1,750,000.

The Mallorcan golf courses have similar regulations to most courses in Europe, they operate a tailored shirt rule and a minimum handicap of 28.  Although you can go on most of the practice ranges without an official handicap, most clubs require an official handicap certificate to play.

In The Hole Golf The majority of courses have pro-shops onsite and the usual facilities of buggy and club rental are available.

Membership of the Balearic Golf Federation, or "Federacion Balear de Golf" will give you a reduction in course fees on most of the golf courses in the Balearic Islands and, of course, the opportunity to compete in their numerous tournaments.

Application can be made on-line.You can find the latest news, info
rmation on golfing, details of recent and up-coming tournaments and information of golf courses available on their web site, as well as other useful information. http://www.fbgolf.com/
