Can Pastilla
Mallorca Towns

On the coastal side of the Bahia de Palma, lies the resort of Can Pastilla which stretches inland almost to the airport. The resort is a mecca for families and the young at heart looking for a beach holiday, with plenty to do in the evenings. The promenade follows the shore, which is particularly enjoyable at night when the lights of Palma can be seen across the water. This lovely beach is ideal for children, with clean white sand, shallow waters, sun umbrellas and of course the opportunity for plenty of ice-creams!

If you decide to stay in Can Pastilla don't forget to take a look at the beautiful glass church in Playa de Palma, or the charming little marina in Can Pastilla itself. There is a train which runs along the promenade and is a good way to get around the resort.

This resort has a fine, sandy beach, which stretches all the way to S'Arenal, with a fabulous choice of many different water sports available for you to enjoy.  If you want to have a long walk then keep walking on past the beaches at C'an Pastilla and Playa de Palma, and you'll come eventually to the beautiful unspoilt beach of Es Trenc- if you want to keep your clothes on - stick to the left-hand side of the beach , as the other side of the beach is for nudists.

The busy promenade in  Can Pastilla caters for everyone during the daytime and in the evenings.  There are typical wine restaurants like the Bodega of Olive (Calle Albatros, 11), speciality restaurants like the Rancho Picardo (Calle Flamengo, 1), jazz restaurants like the House of the Rising Sun, and some German taverns with the latest chart music the choice is plenty and it is yours.

There are also a few activities available around Can Pastilla, Golf Fantasia in Playa de Palma offers 54 holes of crazy golf with a Jurassic Park theme, and there is a bar serving snacks all day. AquaCity on the outskirts of S'Arenal is the largest waterpark on the island, with some of the best slides in Europe. Just minutes away along the coastal road you can also visit the new Palma Aquarium. Palma Aquarium is much more than an aquarium; it is a spectacular Marine Park that faithfully recreates the habitats and ecosystems of the world’s seas and oceans. This really is worth a visit, especially if you are staying so close.
